Hello Crew

Hello Everybody
Thanks to those who made the meeting last week. I know not everybody made it , but was still motivational.
First things first ..
I am astounded by the amazing art you all produce and I am honored to even show with you people
Crazy...when Jessica and I angrily created this art crew out from a craigslist post, we didn't know what the fuck we were doing.
we just knew we just knew we want to be part of something.

Something that loved art and was passionate about it.
Something that was a melting pot of all types of talented people.

We were both burned out by so many San diego flakes.
I came back to my hometown after spending the last 3 years surrounded by the huge love of Humboldt County and Eureka art scene,
and found a very disconnected community with a lot talent...
Jessica had felt the same and after a million conversations about it we made Aesthetigiest with the purpose of having original art exhibitions showcasing all types of art and artists of superior skill. Yet actually finding shows that fit all types (ei. performers) of talent are not existant or very bad.
Like I said we had big plans yet found many an obstacle, again we don't know what the fuck were doing.
But thats the fun of it.

I realize now that we can be even more than I ever hoped for by focusing on creative events bringing different humanities, arts and or sciences together.

I thought themed shows were forced, but really they are essential to providing a focused art experience that can be really be promoted and remembered.

And you guys are already making this happen and I am so exited.
Thank you so much Lisa, and Jannelly for getting out there and finding shows, the Childs Play, Recycle, Halloween, and Toms shoe show are all exactly what we need.
Thank you Selena for creating this blog!
Tom, Brett, Dan, Brian( the Brain) all have great ideas for new shows and ways to experience art.

Blake, Lucas, Teddy... I love you guys and you are so damn talented we appreciate your love and abilities where ever you are.
You don't understand how truly humbled by everybody’s love and support.

As we try to find a voice for our collective, I challenge you to a new purpose
now that we have the ball rolling
We all need to be a part of this
Think of shows, communicate with the crew and start searching for venues and collaborators as well..

I for one want to create a show of works inspired by local writers. It would leave a very wide open of interpretation of what could be done. (Illustrated scenes or characters , graphic novels type juxtaposition ,mixed media). The writers in turn could read from the works and sell goods. I hope to include some collaborations in zines.

We all dont have to be in each exhibit, just communicate the ones you will be in.
I will have stickers by the next show
and hopefully shirts
send me your size
Please send me art by July 30 to be included in our first zine

Get out there find opportunities! Think about what you love!

You guys are the best
if we believe in what we can do and all reach out to make our mark,
we will succeed.

Leticia Felgueroso

I find myself truly captivated by the photography of Leticia Felgueroso. Not only because her photographs are obviously breathtakingly-beautiful, but also because I cannot figure out what the heck any of these plants or fruits are! It's as though she lives in a parallel universe! And here I thought I was an exotic fruit connoisseur……
